Receptionist

The Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to students, visitors, and other guests of the school. This position reports to the Director of Security.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greets students, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person's visit and directs him or her to the appropriate location.
• Ensures students are properly checked-in and record tardies in the VisitU system.
• Temperature screens students and visitors.
• Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to faculty and staff; takes messages.
• Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and distributes items.
• Monitors and controls the reception area and alley loading dock doors.
• Logs athletic equipment loans to students.
• Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.
• Performs other duties.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year job related experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
