Maintenance

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Worker will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including basic carpentry, heating and cooling, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Paints walls, floors, woodwork and fixtures.
• Replaces and repairs brick and plaster walls.
• Maintains key log and cuts keys as needed.
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Reports all accidents and/or potential hazards to the Director of Maintenance.
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
• Must be skilled in painting.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Related experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
