CASHBAH Coordinator

The CASHBAH Coordinator (CC) serves as the primary SLUH Staff member focused on leading the annual CASHBAH auction. The CC achieves this by working closely with a mix of internal (SLUH Advancement, other faculty and staff) and external (event co-chairs, other volunteers, vendors, donors) to ensure a successful event. The CC has the overall success of the event at the forefront, maintaining a calendar that ensures the timely execution of tasks across many months and involving many individuals, both SLUH employees and volunteers.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Community Engagement, the CASHBAH coordinator actively supports the goals of the Community Engagement team within the SLUH Advancement Department.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Execute, maintain and update (as needed) the CASHBAH calendar of tasks that point to the hosting of the annual event.

  • Identify and partner with event co-chairs throughout the year, including frequent check-ins, details for onboarding them to the role and ensuring their successful direction of volunteers and auction sections.

  • Coordinate with other SLUH stakeholders to ensure their participation and involvement.

  • Create systems for success that can be repeated in following years.

  • Identify and work closely with volunteers in a variety of auction sections.

  • Represent and support the Jesuit Catholic mission of St. Louis U. High, especially the school's commitment to securing resources for the region's most generous financial aid program.

  • Organized with a uniquely high attention to detail, with a passion for meeting deadlines coupled with a flexibility to problem-solve when adjustments must be made.

  • Has an expert-level ability to work collaboratively with a team and to engage a wide variety of stakeholders.

  • Adept in handling multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Creativity for problem solving and volunteer engagement.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, both formal and informal.

  • Proficiently uses Google Suite, Microsoft Office and other project management software systems.

Essential Education/Experience

  • Associate's degree required
  • Recent experience in directing fundraising events, auctions preferred, with demonstrated experience in donor relations and/or volunteer management.

  • Familiarity with auction software (One Cause preferred)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to provide physical support for events and gatherings, including a significant amount of walking.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.
