Athletic Director Assistant

Job Summary:

The Athletic Director Assistant will support the Athletic Director with the school's athletic programs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Represents the department and/or school by attending various meetings: Athletic Department Meetings, Director's Meetings, Calendar Meetings, Communication Meetings, Budget Meetings, Emergency Preparedness Meetings, MCC Meetings, Suburban AD Meetings, MIAAA Meetings and Conference, MSHSAA Area-Wide Meetings, and other meetings as necessary
• Assists with development of department policies, procedures and initiatives
• Helps maintain department compliance with MCC, MSHSSA, and NFHS Rules
• Keep accurate department records, ensuring required certifications and clearances
• Partners with Facilities, Grounds, and Custodial Departments and Associated Vendors to Maintain Facilities;
• Hosting Contests and Major Events; Scheduling Contests, Officials, and Transportation
• Data Entry on SLUH Website, Athletics Google Calendar, Field Trip Calendar (Early-Out), MSHSAA Website, and Arbiter Site;
• Timely and Accurate Submission of All Department Receipts, Coaching Contracts, and Invoices to Business Office;
• Assisting Coaches and Summer Directors with Scheduling,
• Promoting, and Operating Summer Athletics Activities
• Communicating with Parents, Faculty, and Staff Regarding Events and Policies of the Athletic Department
• Partnering with Coaches to Manage and Address Needs Regarding Equipment and Uniform Inventory

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in physical education, sports management or related field.
• At least two years of related experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to traverse various athletic grounds and facilities.
