Athletic Alumni Intern

Saint Louis University High School is seeking an Alumni Intern candidate to serve as a member of the Athletic Department staff, working on the SLUH campus for approximately 10 hours a week.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Detailed written communication with SLUH faculty/administration, coaches/administrators from other schools and officials
• Facility set up and breakdown
• Attendance at contests, home and away
• Support role for opportunities to celebrate student-athletes, coaches and teams, such as signing day ceremonies, end of season banquets and the updating of trophy cases
• Data entry of rosters, schedules and contest results on calendars and websites
• Creation of written, visual and graphical materials for newsletters, publications, social media posts and the south stadium scoreboard
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Candidate Criteria:

• Must be a SLUH alumnus and be at least two years removed from graduation at SLUH
• Must be living in St. Louis
• Preference will be given to candidates enrolled at a four-year college or university
• Preference will be given to candidates available for the entire 2025-2026 year, although consideration will be given to candidates available only for a semester

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
• Ability to appropriately communicate with coaches, other members of the Athletic Department staff and the SLUH community
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Google Suite and social media software

Physical Requirements:

• Capacity to endure prolonged periods of standing during matches, tournaments and contests
• Capacity to walk between athletic venues on the SLUH campus and on other high school campuses
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
